MORE CARDIO Equals Better Conditioning #Myth

cardio-training

Cardio exercises such as walking, running, biking, kickboxing classes and elliptical training will improve you cardio-respiratory system if you are pushing it to levels that it’s not accustomed to on a regular basis. Rarely do any of these forms of exercise push your muscles to the levels beyond what they are used to on a regular basis (you might be a little sore from starting any new activity). However, strength training performed at the right intensity will push both your muscles and your cardio-respiratory system well beyond what they are used to on a regular basis, leading to continuous improvement. Strength training is the best type of exercise for overall fitness, although cardio type exercises are great for sport-specific training, stress reduction and calorie expenditure.
