This is a myth. Exercise is like most things…quality is better than quantity. Every system in your body can be trained to perform better, but it has to be pushed to perform beyond what it’s accustomed to on a regular basis. That means if your workout isn’t VERY challenging, you’re wasting your time, and if you push yourself beyond your current limits during your workout, you can spend much less time working out.
